QwickPOS Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

QwickPOS ("we", "us") is a point-of-sale app that businesses use to manage stores, branches, products, billing and orders. This policy explains what data the QwickPOS Android app, web app and related services collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who this policy applies to

QwickPOS is used by business owners and their staff. Store customers do not use the app directly, but a business may record some customer details in it while billing them (see below).

Information we collect

Account information. When an account is created, we collect the user's name, email address, mobile number and password. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never stored by us in readable form. We also store the user's role (for example owner, manager or cashier) and the stores and branches they can access.

Business data. Information a business enters into QwickPOS, such as store and branch details (name, address, opening hours, tax/GST details, logo), products, prices, stock and product images, orders, invoices, payment method and status, and reports generated from them.

Customer details entered by a business. A business may record its own customers' names and mobile numbers against orders. The business decides what to record and is responsible for having the right to do so.

Activity records. To keep an audit trail, we record which staff account created or changed records such as orders and products, and when.

Crash and diagnostic data. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs, device model, operating system version, app version and an installation identifier so we can fix the problem.

Data stored only on your device. Some settings, such as the last used Bluetooth printer and printing preferences, are saved only on the device and are not sent to our servers.

How we use information

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and the app shows no ads.

Service providers we share data with

We use Google Firebase, operated by Google LLC, to run QwickPOS: Firebase Authentication (sign-in), Cloud Firestore (database), Firebase Storage (images and files), Firebase Hosting (web app) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Data security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted by account roles and security rules so each business can only reach its own data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Data retention and deletion

Business and account data is kept while the account is active. A business owner can delete products, customers and other records in the app. To delete an account and its associated data, email us at the address below from the account's registered email; we will process the request within 30 days. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it, for example tax invoices.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data by contacting us. If you are a customer of a business that uses QwickPOS, please contact that business first, as they control the details they recorded about you.

Children

QwickPOS is a business tool and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
